QMR works because the shape is a liquidity sequence made visible. The lower low isn't random - it's clearing the stops that built up below the obvious support. That sweep is the mechanism. The return that forms the right shoulder is price coming back to the origin of that displacement.

Where it gains conviction is when that sweep targets something significant. A daily low sitting right there, a previous session extreme, a weekly level. The more identifiable the pool below that point, the more deliberate the movement through it. The pattern alone without the key level is just a shape that sometimes works.

The failure mode is when the sweep is just noise that fits the visual. Nothing meaningful was cleared at that wick. Adding key level confluence is what separates 'looks like QMR' from 'QMR with an actual reason to reverse.'
