It was so hard for her during CUPID era 🥺.

1. Trainee Mimi was proud of her boyish, strong charm, so the super cute debut with CUPID concept was a real struggle.

2. She hated her stage name at first, as it was too feminine and doll-like. A staff member persuaded her to make “Mi Mi” a powerful name with her colors, like that of Yoon Mi Rae. Young Mimi was naive and accepted the challenge.

3. Even offstage, the company picked her clothes, and it was girlish vibes only: no pants, and everything was pink. It was such a suffocating situation that she cried 🥺

4. It took her 7 years, all the way until Real Love in 2022 to finally make peace with the name and pink. Now, she can do whatever she wants with Bish Bash Bosh 🔥

The 28th Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF2026) has selected #Hyojung as its promotional ambassador.

She will participate in various activities to promote BIAF, beginning with her appointment ceremony at the BIAF2026 press conference in September and continuing through October, when the festival takes place for five days from Friday 23rd to Tuesday 27th in Bucheon City.

Hyojung was selected thanks to her active engagement in various fields, such as music, musical, radio, and entertainment. The festival hopes that Hyojung's bright image and deep connection with the public will bring positive energy to audiences who love animation and film festivals.
