WATCH | Help us identify this man. On 4 July 2026, he visited one of our shops along Nelson Mandela Avenue and scammed one of our employees using a fake US$100 note. When he entered the shop, he pretended to be talking to his boss on the phone. We believe this person was the driver of the Mazda Demio he arrived in.
It appears that these individuals target shops that are about to close for the day. They engage employees in unnecessary small talk to distract and confuse them, making it less likely that the fake note will be carefully checked.
The matter has already been reported to the police. If you recognise this man or have any information that could assist with the investigation, please contact us on 0712 942 609 or call 0773 937 213.
Please share this post to help us identify him and prevent others from becoming victims.

Each time I become disillusioned with social media, I remind myself of the good it can do.
Over a year ago, this young man got in touch with me through my inbox. He had 20 points at A-Level, but he did not have two coins to rub together. He had no money to pursue his dream.
I shared his story, and a good Samaritan who did not want to be known stepped forward and paid US$20,000 for his full university education. That money covers his six years at medical school, including accommodation and tuition fees.
This young man has come top of his class in all the exams written so far.
These are the good stories that come from social media and from the use of my platforms. They make me rethink each time I feel like walking away.
If we all used social media for good instead of trading insults, the world would become a better place. Imagine how many lives could be transformed if we spent as much time lifting one another up as we do tearing each other down.
Help reunite this man with his family
An unidentified man has been living at Mapulaneng Hospital in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, for the past 5 years after surviving a hit-and-run accident.
He has been unable to speak or identify himself since the incident, and despite years of efforts by social workers, his family has not been found.
If you recognise him or have any information that could help trace his relatives, please contact Mapulaneng Hospital’s Social Work Department or SAPS Bushbuckridge.

Good day Crime Watch Zimbabwe, I am asking for your help to bring this matter to the attention of the relevant authorities. I am employed by Instyle Civils Pvt Ltd, trading as Dairibord Zimbabwe Pvt Ltd, as the Depot Manager at the Karoi Depot.
In March 2026, I won a labour case against the company for unpaid salaries and benefits amounting to US$8,400. This money was owed to me for the period from July 2025 to January 2026. I have also not been paid any salary from February 2026 to June 2026, even though I continued reporting for work and carrying out my duties as Depot Manager.
I believe the company was withholding my salaries in an effort to force me to resign, even though I had done nothing wrong. The company appealed the ruling, and the matter is now before the Labour Court in Harare. We are still waiting for the court's written judgment.
From Monday to Wednesday this week, everything was normal and I continued working as usual. However, when I arrived at work on Thursday, 2 July 2026, I found that the company had removed all stock and assets from the Karoi Depot during the night without informing me.
I later learned that the other seven employees knew that the company was moving the stock and assets, but they had allegedly been told not to inform me, even though I am the Depot Manager responsible for the depot.
Because of the ongoing labour case, I am concerned about the removal of the company's stock and assets. I kindly ask the relevant authorities to look into the matter and make sure everything was done legally and properly.
I am willing to provide supporting documents, including the labour ruling and Labour Court case details, if needed.
Thank you for your assistance.
@DairibordLtd
@CrimeWatchZW Young man can now take the court’s verdict medical records and sue the company for the injury, pain and trauma the company stuff caused. Go for thousands of dollars !

My name is Marlon Sibiya, a 31-year-old married man and father of a three-year-old daughter. My family and I reside in a rented apartment in Norton.
Before I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), I was self-employed, operating a small printing business at Katanga Shopping Centre in Norton. Unfortunately, due to my deteriorating health, I am no longer able to manage the business effectively, which has significantly affected my family's source of income.
My health challenges began when I experienced severe shortness of breath, particularly at night, making it difficult to sleep for nearly two weeks. Initially, I thought I was suffering from asthma, so I sought medical attention at a local hospital. After undergoing blood tests and a chest X-ray, the results revealed a serious medical condition, and I was urgently referred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for specialist care.
Following further medical investigations, I was diagnosed with kidney failure caused by Polycystic Kidney Disease. I was admitted for treatment and dialysis work-up on 11 June 2026 and remained hospitalized for one week before being discharged on 20 June 2026.
I am now undergoing dialysis twice every week as prescribed by my doctors and am taking medication to manage my condition. While dialysis has become essential for my survival, it has placed an enormous financial burden on my family.
My assigned dialysis session is at 3:00 a.m., which requires me to leave Norton around midnight to travel to the hospital. The transport costs at those hours are very high and have become difficult for me to afford, especially since I am no longer able to earn a stable income due to my illness.
In addition to the ongoing dialysis treatment, I have also been advised that a kidney transplant offers the best long-term solution for my condition. However, the costs associated with the transplant process, including medical evaluations, surgery, medication, and post-transplant care, are far beyond my family's financial means.
It is with great humility that I appeal for your assistance. Any support towards the following would be deeply appreciated:
- Dialysis treatment costs.
- Transport expenses to and from dialysis sessions.
- Medication and routine medical care.
- Kidney transplant evaluation, surgery, and post-transplant treatment.
Any other financial or material assistance that may help ease the burden on my family during this difficult time. Your generosity would not only help me continue receiving life-saving treatment but would also give me hope of undergoing a kidney transplant and returning to a productive life to care for my wife and young daughter.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. I sincerely appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide. May God richly bless you for your kindness and compassion.
Yours faithfully,
Marlon Sibiya

Oh God, if surely You exist and reign over all of us, then add to the evidence of Your existence—give rest to the people of Zimbabwe. Raise a new Zimbabwe from these ashes. Surely our mothers and fathers cannot remain choir masters, calling on You in foreign lands while You remain silent. We have cried until our voices broke. We have wept until there are no tears left. What remains now is a hollow ache that words cannot carry. Give us a new history. A new present. A new future. This cannot be all there is. They cannot keep singing to You across the Limpopo while You do not pause, while You do not answer, while You do not come through. I will not tell You what to do, do what only You can do. But see us. Hear us. Remember us. Amen!!!!
