The older you get, the more you realize it's not about who knows you the longest, it's about who sees you, appreciates you, respects you, supports you, grows with you, calls you out on your bullsh*t, and understands your energy so you don't spend a lifetime translating your vibe.
the fact that my dad will have 2 in n outs within 5 blocks going both east and west, & the closest in n out to me is 4 miles away, makes me mad lol.
pregnancy and preparing to be a mom is a lot. there are a lot of people im not checking on or thanking properly and i pray for their grace and understanding.
my best friend lives 10 blocks from me and whenever she’s out she calls me to ask if i need anything at all. she’s really my baby daddy and it makes my heart swell up 🥹
it’s okay to accept the ugly parts of ourselves. other people’s perceptions of us aren’t always “things they don’t like within themselves” - sometimes, it’s just what we’re presenting to people and a reflection is an opportunity to shift when we don’t like what we see.
