I was honored to attend the Passing Out Parade of the 22nd Basic Course at the Sindh Prisons Staff Training Institute, Hyderabad, where 185 prison police personnel successfully completed their four-month training.

On the instructions and vision of my party leadership, we are bringing meaningful reforms to the prison system, focusing on better facilities, modern training, healthcare, and rehabilitation opportunities for prisoners.

The welfare of both prison staff and prisoners remains one of our key priorities.

I raised in the National Assembly the serious concern regarding the reported recovery of 5,000 Pakistani passports from Afghan nationals in Saudi Arabia, allegedly obtained through fraudulent means.

The emergence of such a large number of passports in a single country raises grave questions about the integrity of Pakistan’s passport and identity system.

I have sought clear responses from the Government on who facilitated the issuance of these passports, which passport offices were involved, and the role of any officials or agents. I have also asked about the extent of the network, the number of arrests made, and the disciplinary or legal proceedings initiated.

Furthermore, I have inquired how many additional fraudulently obtained Pakistani passports may still be in circulation internationally.

This matter goes beyond administrative negligence, as it directly impacts national security, the credibility of the Pakistani passport, and the reputation of Pakistani citizens abroad. It is imperative that the entire network be identified, thoroughly investigated, and held accountable.
