Grateful to have presented our research project at the #PCRS2026 Annual Meeting! Thank you to Dr. Jerome Check for the opportunity to share our work. Also a great surprise running into Dr. Amui-Bellon —always proud to connect with mentors from Cooper! #PCRS2026#REI#FutureOBGYNs
I've seen no fewer than 15 Black women post about matching to OB/GYN this week, which is such a gift to our society given the horrific state of maternal mortality in America. These brilliant doctors are going to keep so many women safe throughout their careers.
AMWA Reaffirms the Science
The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) joins leading medical organizations—including AAP, ACOG, AAFP, ACEP, SMFM, and NAM—in reaffirming the safety of acetaminophen use during pregnancy.
Rigorous, long-term research—including the 2024 JAMA study—has found no credible link between acetaminophen use in pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability. Acetaminophen remains the only safe option for pain and fever management during pregnancy.
As physicians, scientists, and advocates, AMWA is committed to ensuring that public health guidance is based on the highest quality evidence—always with equity, safety, and well-being at the forefront.

In med school, I learned that Huntington's disease was one of the most devastating inherited conditions. It caused progressive neurological decline, starting around age 30. There was no treatment. Now, Huntington's has been treated for first time.
This is why we fund science.
💬 Viewpoint: Despite women facing higher rates of chronic illness and unique gynecological disorders, federal health leaders have insufficiently prioritized women's health in chronic disease research.
