@MedvedevRussiaE Once again, the Kremlin answers reality with threats and disinformation. This is not diplomacy — it’s the same intimidation playbook Russia has used whenever it can’t control the narrative.
@MedvedevRussiaE Threats, lies, and dehumanization — this is the language Russia’s leadership has relied on for years. When diplomacy fails, they reach for intimidation. This post says far more about the Kremlin’s fear than about Ukraine.
@ReutersWorld 2 of 2 - They draw attention to the worrying development of political culture and democratic values under the leadership of the Prime Minister. They express concerns about the internal political situation, but also for the international position of Slovakia.
@ReutersWorld 1 of 2 - more than a hundred experts in the field of psychiatry and psychology addressed an open letter to Prime Minister Robert Fico in response to current political events in Slovakia.
@ReutersWorld Fico-Slovak rhetoric directly out of the VP-RUSSIA KGB playbook! The EU must act...Slovakia is either in EU or out! Fico will come and go, Slovakia must choose! Hold VP-RUSSIA's feet to the fire... The Russian people must know who!
🇸🇰 Psychiatrists call for Fico's resignation, opposition accuses him of preparing Slovakia's exit from the EU, while Fico warns of a coup: what's happening in Slovakia?
More than 100 psychiatrists and psychologists have signed an open letter urging Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to step down. They express concern over his increasingly authoritarian rhetoric, manipulations, falsehoods, and attacks on opponents.
Fico, however, has doubled down, accusing the opposition of attempting to destabilize the country. He claims, citing counterintelligence reports, that the opposition is preparing for a "Slovak Maidan," allegedly plotting to seize government buildings in collaboration with foreign forces.
The latest wave of controversy was triggered by recent meetings between Slovak opposition figures and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with whom Fico has clashed politically. This conflict stems from Ukraine's decision to halt Russian gas transit through its territory, a move that angered Fico.
Meanwhile, Michal Šimečka, leader of the opposition party Progressive Slovakia, has accused Fico of paving the way for Slovakia's withdrawal from the European Union. Šimečka has initiated a no-confidence vote against the government, claiming that Fico's Smer party is undermining the country's pro-European course. In response, Fico has accused the opposition of provocations and attempting to overthrow his government.
@ThomaMore Just for info - the no confidence vote interrupted by Fico’s announcement that the debate will continue behind closed doors. Slovak democracy is threatened!

All eyes on #slovakia. The breaking of democracy live 🇸🇰. What would be a public debate, now becomes behind closed door. No confidence vote interrupted and PM #Fico announced the vote will continue behind the closed door
@front_ukrainian The no confidence vote will continue behind the closed door! Fico said that he would talk about a secret message in the interview, but he did not specify what it was. The meeting is conducted in a "confidential" degree.
@front_ukrainian Just for info - the no confidence vote has been interrupted by official report by SIS (Slovak Information Service) which claims that they had obtained serious information about long-term organized influence, whose purpose is to destabilize the Slovak Republic.
Bravo Prime Minister! Bravo! Slovak PM during his 4 minute press conference announcing the #slovak government’s budget for 2025. All you get is using swearing words aimed at media! #slovakia#robertfico
@NigelMBaker1 The worst is on horizon. There is a strategy behind all the actions and Fico’s decisions. There is an end to democracy in Slovakia. It’s apparent from everything what we are witnessing these days. Shame that most of the Slovak population is shortsighted.

The next culture minister of Slovakia: a homophobic star of pro-Kremlin conspiracy web who supports a "boycott of critical mainstream liberal media". Media policies are part of her portfolio.
PM Robert Fico wants to ban critical media, SME, Denník N, Markíza and Aktuality, from entering the cabinet office. He refuses answering their questions. Yet, he happily talks to some of the conspiracy media.
