“I’ll be all over the Farage £5 million donor story as soon as I’ve finished investigating allegations that Starmer owes a mate 22p for a Mars bar he bought him in 1987.”
@edwinhayward Edwin do you know why the IFS never featured in the headlines after recentTory budgets? Did they just nod along & agree it was all fine? (Obviously we didn’t need the IFS to enlighten us about the truss budget)
@edwinhayward Well said. A lot of the attack on this has seemed to me to be an easy pile on used to enhance anti-labour sentiment with mail reading pensioners. You clearly have more logic & reasoning - shame that angle of staggering the change hasn’t had more coverage (unless I’ve missed it)
@edwinhayward Thing is, the most vulnerable are now able to get more help, whereas a £300 blanket policy hasn’t been enough to sustain the very poorest throughout the long winter in previous yrs, so there have always been cracks to slip through & always will be.
Not exactly a kier starmer “fan” but it’s hard to imagine another country where anyone would give a shit if the prime minister went to watch a football match in a box. He’s, like, the prime minister. Boxes exist. It seems kind of appropriate
“In the first three months of 2024, Charlotte claimed an average in attendance fees of £5,309 a month…”
She was gifted this job for life, at age 29. Answerable to no-one, no real duties, unsackable. She just needs to turn up to get our taxpayer money. https://t.co/coDw59K4uk
Brilliant ad. If you have a daughter and you are voting for Trump you are insane.
Also I hope you will one day have to explain to her why you voted for a man who was found to have sexually assaulted a woman.
Holy mother of fuck, Truss considered stopping NHS care for CANCER to fill the financial black hole she caused. But yeah, Labour is lying about the mess we’re in.
Cancer treatment… Fucking hell.
Cut off the £115k p/a that we’re forced to pay this utter cretin.
Few points Daniel:
1. The Prime Minister doesn't lock up criminals, the police and the courts do that
2. The new government hasn't passed any legislation - all convictions for the unrest have been under existing laws
3. The most high profile examples of people convicted for social media posts admitted their guilt.
4. As a society we have decided that spreading racial hatred and inciting violence is unacceptable - that applies online as much as on street corners
5. If our British values are unacceptable to you then you might consider utilising your citizenship for your birthplace
@JaneSRolfe@FairyQueenOfBS@MartinSLewis Thanks! I’m personally more in the situation of having 3 or 4 “bog standard” pensions that all were earned since it became a legal requirement for employers, so I don’t think I there is much to lose in terms of perks/benefits?
BREAKING
Rwanda has 'already cost the British taxpayer £700 million' & Tories intended to pay £10 BILLION
Yvette Cooper says it was 'the most toxic waste of taxpayer money I have ever seen'
My loathing for what the Tories have done does not diminish😡
