@E_R_Sepulveda Yeah except toronto doesn’t have the transit system of a NYC or a London. So taxing $2.75 per ride doesn’t move people to public transit, it just eats away at already stretch disposable incomes. And if you invest that money into public transit… see the eglinton LRT for results…
@ronmortgageguy@SteveSaretsky Same comment for you except replace CCP with CPC ;)
Haha I’ll happily criticize China in many ways.
But they’re objectively doing better at innovating for a sustainable future than we are.
Gotta be non-partisan, and stick to the facts.
@ronmortgageguy@SteveSaretsky Yeah not a great take Ron. China’s emissions per capita is about half of Canada’s & they definitely lead the world in terms of renewables technology, EVs + other sustainable industries. They don’t share our goals insofar as they will tackle climate change goals faster than us…
@MattSpoke Not to mention the crazy high subsidies we pour into foreign companies who then do not honour their commitments.
We should be investing in home-grown companies that are on the precipice of being world-class and with a little help they’d get there. Not in Ford.
@PierrePoilievre My god. You’re insufferable. Just do something positive and stop being an armchair quarterback that lives his life fueled by negativity. You are smart. Use that for the betterment of the world
@theJagmeetSingh Why do you blame billionaires? Capitalism is all about profit maximizing within the confines of the law. Profit gouging and tax dodging happen because the government isn’t doing its job properly. Close the tax loopholes. Penalize harder. Promote competition so prices come down.
@TorontoStar Isn’t that what Mother’s Day, last month is for? Should international women’s day now celebrate men? Lol I can’t believe this was published #clickbait
@HonAhmedHussen@JustinTrudeau Oof, if you’re going to make those statements you’d better be prepared to back them up with data. Because I think pretty much everyone would disagree with all four statements. Even $10 a day childcare isn’t $10 a day from what I hear.
@HaltonPolice Why the hell are our governments doing nothing about this awful catch and release policy?! I’m so confused, it’s such a no brainer. I would imagine the police obviously want reform too! Our neighborhoods are being terrorized.
@PierrePoilievre You’re getting pretty corny Pierre. At least specifically say why you’re against the carbon tax. Whether you believe in climate change or not. Whether you have alternative solutions to incentivize the free market to reduce emissions.
@GadSaad@iamjohnoliver@sethmeyers@jimmyfallon@jimmykimmel@StephenAtHome My lord chill out Gad. Your immature anger for anyone liberal really discredits any other views you have. You seem to be a pretty intelligent person so you either don’t have emotional intelligence or you’ve been compromised and paid to attack certain people.
@PierrePoilievre This next election is a slam dunk for you. You don’t need to resort to dirty tactics & negativity. The liberals results speak for themselves. Get people to vote for the conservatives because they are excited to do so, don’t make them feel dirty for doing so. Let’s keep it civil.
@raptorsrepublic The goal of this year was to tank. Mission accomplished, exceeds expectations. We have somehow been extremely close in so many games despite constant injuries to our best players. Major jumps from Dick. Great performances from rookies deep in the draft. What more do we want?!
