@UKLabour The only reason he’ll get my vote is ‘cos I see him as an independent and not Labour. I’m 🙏 that he will bring a change to politics in general and try and bring in normality and less hate across the board. Good luck Andy!
@PolitlcsUK Well if you can’t trust u 16’s on their phone, then you can’t expect them on their b’day to make an informed decision to vote at 16. Labour need to drop this plan!
@AndyBurnhamGM I’ve thought about this & it’s just rumours. He knows, if elected, this is his & Labours last chance to regain trust. Fresh faces needed at the top. Same old faces just won’t work and it will be wipe-out at the next GE. You only get one shot to make a first impression….
@AndyBurnhamGM I said to you personally on Tuesday and on Sky’s forum yesterday that I’ll lend you my vote for a clean slate at the top table. You need to build back trust, not inflict more of the same on the British public! I hope this is not true!

@countessofessex No he won’t. They are a growing Party and offer an alternative to Reform. Everyone is entitled to vote for who they want. Farage seems sleazy and offers nothing at this time. A vote for anything other that Burnham changes nothing for anybody at this time both locally & nationally
@harrypremier201@LizWebsterSBF@AndyBurnhamGM Some parts of welfare is a tax loophole. Pensions is used as part of your tax threshold &anything over & above is taxed, but yet other parts aren’t, which then leads to people being better off on benefits alone. This isn’t right or fare to those who pay into the system.
@GaytriotGannon@PolitlcsUK@thetimes Those on benefits who are clearly not disabled should be taxed on benefits and the tax threshold applied as it is to salaried and pensionaries alike.
@PolitlcsUK@Telegraph Burnham (if elected) should have a clean slate & I told him so on Tuesday. There is no trust in those currently sitting at the top table. I’ll lend Burnham my vote if it’s for a change, not for the same !
@feistywomankent It an easy cut to make, apply the tax threshold to all people and all benefits. Make the system fair to those that have/do contribute& make those that don’t & just take, pay a little!
@lincslincs Tax all benefits in the same way. Apply the tax code to everyone, pensions, those working and those in benefits. Cut the welfare bill by billions by treating all income as taxable. Maybe even have room to raise the allowance by applying this method &encourage work not scrounging!
@PhilMyers53 Let’s get this right! Defence spending has not been helped by the current gov’t inability to balance the books and cap welfare. It’s just a charity that gives it away in an uncontrollable way
@CausewayW@AlistairCarns Stop Carbon capture and tax anyone who earns any benefit/salary over the normal threshold. Make it a level playing field for those who contribute and those who don’t but take all they can. Tax them and make it fairer !
@andy4makerfield@AndyBurnhamGM I’m RAF vet as well. I think the only choice at this time is a vote for Burnham. I vote for change for now, as our only hope for the next few years.
