A detailed representation has been received from the residents of Chatterhama Khimber regarding alleged illegal five-storey commercial construction raised by Mr. Aqib Ahmad Gilkar S/O Gulzar Ahmad Gilkar R/O Malbagh near Khimber reportedly in violation of provisions of the J&K Control of Building Operations Act, 1988. As per the representation Jammu & Kashmir Lake Conservation & Management Authority @jklcma had already issued demolition/sealing notices vide No. LCMA/EO/eoff/113214-16 dated 13-03-2025 under Section 7(1) of the Act for unauthorized construction yet the structure has allegedly been expanded into a complete five-storey commercial building. The matter has created serious concern among local residents regarding enforcement of law environmental safeguards and administrative accountability. I urge @OfficeOfLGJandK @jklcma @JKACB to examine the matter thoroughly ensure implementation of official demolition orders fix responsibility wherever negligence is found and take strict action as warranted under law. @DivComKash @srinagaradmin @JmuKmrPolice

I visited #Pahalgam to personally reach out to residents of Srinagar who have legally purchased milkiyat land in the area through their hard-earned money. While the majority of local residents of Pahalgam were cooperative and supportive it is unfortunate that some anti-social elements some locals and some Srinagar based are harassing these lawful landowners.
These elements behave as if Pahalgam is their ancestral property and are intimidating genuine buyers creating fear and unrest. I resolved several issues on the spot however the affected people expressed deep distress and even conveyed their intention to go on a hunger strike. I assured them that such extreme steps will not be required as I will personally take up the matter with the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Shri @manojsinha_ ji and ensure that justice is delivered on priority. If needed, I will not hesitate to raise this issue at the #PressEnclave and explore all democratic means to protect the rights of law-abiding citizens. We all remember how during the unrest of 1989 forged land documents were created and how state land was illegally grabbed by brokers, goons and some hoteliers. In the coming days, I will place such cases and individuals on record and, if required approach the Hon’ble #HighCourt of J&K for further investigation and revelation of facts. I also appreciate the former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Madam @MehboobaMufti Sahiba, for raising her voice in Ganderbal and Srinagar against arbitrary actions and the misuse of power. Any support extended to land grabbers or those harassing genuine landowners will not be tolerated. The rights of people who have purchased land legally through years of hard work and sacrifice must be protected and no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. @DivComKash @DCAnantnag @diprjk

Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble LG Shri @manojsinha_ ji the #AgricultureDepartment in J&K has witnessed remarkable reforms transparency and upliftment. Your tireless efforts have restored public faith in governance and accountability. However it is deeply concerning that some politicians are reportedly lobbying for the appointment of Mr. Sartaj Ahmad Shah is currently Joint Director and under @JKACB investigation as Director Agriculture Kashmir. His inefficiency and tainted track record pose a serious threat to the progress made so far. I sincerely appeal to your good self to kindly intervene and ensure that a competent honest and dynamic officer shall be appointed to lead this vital department. The future of our farming community must not be compromised for political convenience. @OfficeOfLGJandK @DivComKash @Agriprodnjk @AgricultureKmr
