@ohmiso Noone, not even parents😉, gets a free pass from judgement based on stupidity that endangers themselves, the child in their care and bystanders.
@DrGJackBrown It is also completely silent on the threats to the health beyond pregnancy and delivery.
Someone "even as young as 9 or 10" who is "impregnated by their father or brother" could surely be considered to have threats to their health additional to just surviving the delivery.
“Once Covid breaks out in any facility, the prudent thing is to ... take them to air-gapped accommodation. And unless it was your plan to actually infect these people, then that’s what you’d do... I think they [Govt] have a duty of care to those people, and they’ve let them down”
“The hotel is a Covid crime scene that should be closed. Two years ago they were transferred from Nauru and PNG for medical treatment, but instead they have been subjected to medical neglect and exposed to Covid.” #SatPaper https://t.co/swM0ZqmGqv
@Rick2533@StephenJonesMP Agreed. For Scotty the truth changes from moment to moment so the concern for me is not just that he could be described as pathological liar but rather he doesn't always seem to be conscious of his own lies? Can he tell the difference between fact and fiction?
@CliffSutton10 @MoulayOf@AliBunkallSKY “It’s public opinion we better get on-side...only public opinion which...will influence our Govt”
The UK people need to counter how the MSM are framing this discussion ASAP because 🇦🇺 didn't, we demonised refugees seeking asylum & so think nothing of violating their human rights
@Nick_Pettigrew 🚩UK press seems to be mimicking how the Australian press reframed the discussion about asylum policy in 🇦🇺
Australia ignores refugee convention, the human rights violations have been described as systematically contravening convention against torture.
Australians stay silent
@KirstiMiller30 But on addition to my earlier support for Chaplaincy Program at my son's school Senator Stoker actually said something I agree with in that article although she didn't mean in the context I do, she was dismissing it but I would support "having public schools across the board"
@KirstiMiller30@_BradFoster IF all Chappy's work like this then if Scotty is funding that program more then I think it's good. Kids are struggling & it's impossible to find a psychologist without closed books & long waitlists. My son is benefitting from having a safe space to talk about his stressors
@KirstiMiller30@_BradFoster I was a bit confused when the Chappy at my son's school contacted me. Turns out my then 8yo started visiting to get support with a difficult situation. He still goes, it is basically the only place he has to get support (outside of our family). They don't discuss religion or G-d
@anon_opin I am in 🇦🇺
Growing up there were redbacks in the potting shed in back garden. Now I live in an area with many huge 🕷️ (inside and out) and 🕸️ all throughout my garden
It would make sense for me to be scared of 🕷️ but no I have a phobia about 🪳 which are bloody harmless. FFS!
@ohmiso I understand, but I wish it wasn't the case. It doesn't help anyone either on an individual or community basis if we start rationing out empathy & understanding based on a particular criteria (who determines that anyway?) or who we are permitting to be affected by the situation
@ohmiso That is a big disappointment for you & the kids
I think I understand why you added the disclaimer but it's a sad, sorry thing that its the case
Should be able to acknowledge that without having to rank it in the realm of bad things or expecting you'll be attacked for saying it
It's because he does this that I am making a determined effort to remember to refer to him as Scott, or Scotty. He always seems to demean women when he talks to, or about, them. Even when singing 'Jen's' praises he oozes partronism.
I HATE the way Scott calls women he finds troublesome by their first names - Grace, Julia, Brittany and now Bridget. Yes, it’s faux-concern, yes, it’s patronising & disrespectful, but it also seems vaguely menacing.
@JaneCaro I honestly wonder if Scott's personal beliefs, in particular divine providence, impact on his functioning as PM. With his belief in G-d’s providential plan does he think there is nothing we can do, or should do, & is this guiding his (in)actions on climate change, COVID19 etc?
@ohmiso Sorry my point was parents forget there is a line & understandable that photo crossed it. Often parents of young kids forget not much of what their lives is revolving around is of interest to others but it's hard cause so all your focus in on that. Lines get blurred. Mine did
@ohmiso That's fair
TBH the first time I became aware that there is a #3 with kids toileting I was overwhelmed, appalled & in shock noone had told me & part of me wanted to share that confusion with the world but then I remembered that noone wants to hear about my kids explosive poo
