To God be the glory. Isa (Imamu) my son posted an awesome 9 A1s in the @waecnigeria West Africa Examinations Council Senior Secondary Schools exams. He had earlier scored 347 in the @JAMBHQ UTME. I’m a happy dad and urge you to please join me in celebrating him.

82 DIVISION FLAGS OFF INTER-BRIGADE CORPORAL AND BELOW COMPETITION 2026 IN OHAFIA AS GOC URGES JUNIOR SOLDIERS TO EMBRACE EXCELLENCE
The 82 Division Nigerian Army on Monday, 20 April 2026, flagged off the Inter-Brigade Corporal and Below Competition 2026 at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, Ohafia, with a charge to junior soldiers to uphold discipline, professionalism, and excellence.
The General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Major General OA Fadairo, was duly represented at the opening ceremony by the Chief of Staff, 82 Division, Brigadier General SA Jimoh, who declared the 5-day competition open.
In his welcome address, the host and Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General AM Dikko, described the competition as a “significant milestone” in the Nigerian Army’s training calendar. He noted that the event, scheduled for 20–24 April 2026, would test participants in drill, weapon handling, day and night shooting, physical fitness, map reading, field craft and tactics, skills he called “fundamental for operational effectiveness in contemporary military engagements.”
“The Corporals and Below Competition remains a vital platform for developing the leadership, organizational abilities, and professional competence of our young soldiers,” Brig Gen AM Dikko said. “It prepares them for higher responsibilities and reinforces the core values of discipline, excellence, and dedication to duty.”
He commended the presence of teams from 13 Brigade, 34 Artillery Brigade, 82 Division Garrison, 44 Engineer Brigade, 54 Signal Brigade, and 2 Women Battalion, stating that their participation reflects the unity and collective strength of the Division. He urged all competitors to “compete fairly, uphold the highest standards of military conduct, and make the most of this opportunity to learn and excel.”
Delivering the opening remarks on behalf of the GOC, Brig Gen Jimoh said the competition is a deliberate and strategic initiative aimed at grooming junior leaders who will shoulder greater responsibilities in the Nigerian Army. He stressed that the event aligns with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General W Shaibu’s PROSE doctrine, which focuses on Professional Excellence, Robust Administration, Operational Readiness, Strategic Cooperation, and Exemplary Leadership.
“This competition directly supports my vision for 82 Division, to enhance operational capabilities through the highest professional standards and resilience, within a joint operating environment, for enduring peace and security in our area of operation,” the GOC’s remarks stated.
He added that the various events are designed to sharpen professional skills, instill discipline, build confidence, and strengthen teamwork and esprit de corps. “As we continue to confront security challenges within our area of operations, it is imperative that we remain focused, prepared, and united,” he said.
The highlight of the opening ceremony was the swearing-in of the participating formations and umpires, followed by the drill competition which set the tone for the week-long contest.
The 82 Division Inter-Brigade Corporal and Below Competition 2026 is expected to foster esprit de corps, strengthen inter-unit cooperation, and enhance overall operational readiness across formations.

REAL SITUATION
As A Colonel Arriving For His Decoration With The Rank Insignia Of A Brigadier General This Week, He Had Already SECURED A 5-Deck Array Of “Fruit Salads”
As A Brig Gen, IF He Gets To Command A Brigade At The Frontlines, This Is Sure To Get To Six Or Seven Decks
@GodwinF58025795 @Google_12point7@optama @Abbakar_affan All is well sir. Soldiers, just like everyone else, sometimes want to try their hands on other things. They have other dreams & would want to pursue them. Thus after years of service, it’s only fair they go after those dreams. They’ve paid their dues. Congrats in advance.
Masha Allah. Congratulations. You’re truly a wonderful person and deserve this happiness. You encouraged and supported us throughout my son’s journey towards getting the best option out there after his exceptional performance. May the Almighty continue to guide & protect us all.
My son got an equal number of A*s (High Distinctions) and As (Distinctions) in his Cambridge IGCSE results. I am so proud of him.
But I am most proud of the fact that his heart is pure. His company feeds my soul. By God's Grace, he will help me maintain regularity with dhikr (remembrace of the Divine) and he plans to ensure I take walks every day with him after we pray together before sunrise.
Today, we watched part of an epic series on Rumi (https://t.co/Cyuv1ow5aB) and reflect on how precious it is to observe the world yet belong to the infinite universe beyond it.
May your children also grow up to give you comfort and peace as you get older. Alhamdulillah katheeran.
Thank you Alex for highlighting this and thumbs up for the sponsors. This will go a long way in encouraging other students to put in their best. My son got 9A1s in 2023 @waecnigeria but he’s already on his way to @Harvard. I wish the young chaps the best. Hard work pays.
I'm looking for 20 students who scored all A's in 2023/2024 WAEC exams. Their results will have to be 100% genuine and reflection of their exceptional intelligence.
An organisation reached-out to me today and is interested in sponsoring the students application to United World Colleges. It's an intensive 2 year program only available for exceptionally smart students. It's a rigorous program.
Once they successfully go through the program, they can gain full scholarships to Ivy League schools like Harvard, MIT, Stanford etc.
The program is done in 18 different countries ranging from US, Canada, Singapore etc. So the successful students will move to any of these countries for the 2 year program.
Kindly share so the right people may see it.
PS: Students who wrote waec in miracle centers should not bother reaching out.
@BadManSaks@waecnigeria Why sir? Even if they’re a million is it too much to send them letters acknowledging their efforts? If they can manage scripts of over 3M people in several subjects then it shouldn’t be difficult to acknowledge those that perform exceptionally among the number.
Dear @waecnigeria I am curious & want to know how you acknowledge or encourage students that perform exceptionally in your SSCE. My son, Isa Musa Salmanu obtained 9As in your 2023 exams and he is yet to get even a mention from you despite the hard work and efforts.
@mhassantom @Khadeedyibrahim Thanks so much for your concern. He was indeed given 100% scholarships by @NileUni to study Computer Science which he took up since last session and we sincerely thank them for that. He’s recently got admission to @Harvard commencing this year.
@mni_JJ @contactkdsg @NileUni I will tell you authoritatively that he can get many scholarships from the best schools in the world with that result if he applies himself. Don’t despair, encourage him to search around and he’d be rewarded for his hard work. I know the efforts it takes to get that. Keep it up!
@mni_JJ I felt the same when my son scored 347 in 2023 JAMB UTME and 9A1s in his WAEC. Though he won prizes, I truly wished my state @contactkdsg had called to recognize him as an encouragement to others. @NileUni have given him full scholarship though and I thank them for that.
