@keiraamii@kaiserpegger69 its a very relevant question for someone who wants ao3 to take action and for things to change but ig if you dont want anything done and just want to complain and morally grandstand about stuff i can see why its irrelevant to you
@keiraamii@kaiserpegger69 when tf did i say that? look if you dont know how you want ao3 to change their policy thats cool you can just say that it fine, but that was like literally my whole question and you could've just said that
@solar_cupcake@sxrenie@HertaWife i feel like you're talking about the fic that had links to fundraisers for palestine that got taken down bc it goes against ao3s policy on monetisation, not bc it was for palestine, unless theres more youre referring to
@keiraamii@kaiserpegger69 theres no "gotcha moment" with any of this, i asked bc you clearly want action taken so i thought you'd have a way you think would be better for ao3 to police works to get stuff that YOUVE said you want gone, taken down
@keiraamii yh ao3 would be responsible for taking it but someone would have to decide what gets taken down, what someone else thinks should be taken down you might be fine with so who/what do you think should make that overall decision
@solar_cupcake@sxrenie@HertaWife ao3 has real people going through reports so it takes time but stuff like this is a priority, unfortunately people have been falsely reporting works as csam those reports also take priority so now it will take longer for the comments to get taken down bc of them wasting mods time
@Slift_o@monachopsisdoll@memusaki dw, youre right tho and a lot of people forget about the underage authors writing about people their own age when they talk about this stuff
@keiraamii so without the law changing someone would need to decide what should/shouldnt be on ao3 and which content gets censored in order for those works to be taken down
@keiraamii ok so i actually never said that, im literally asking you who you would like to decide which works that dont violate tos should be taken down for the content in it, bc the reason it doesnt go against tos is bc it doesnt violate the law in new york
@monachopsisdoll@Slift_o@memusaki so would you want ao3 to be able to take down any rpf that includes minors in fic or would it depend on the nature of the work?
@keiraamii okay cool, just wondering who do you want to be making those decisions on content that doesn't violate tos but that you would like taken down?
@Slift_o@monachopsisdoll@memusaki yh ik im just wondering who people want to decide what content gets censored on ao3 if they want works that dont violate the current tos taken down
