The job of a journalist is to tell people things as they are, not provide them with a coping mechanism.
You can call Pakistan "errand boy", "helpless messenger", "tea boy", "dalaal", whatever. These are pejoratives and do not exist in IR talk. In IR, all these roles fall under the umbrella of mediator.
Both Iran and US put out a statement yesterday that you would do well to explain to your viewers why both of them started with similar first sentences for the Pakistani junta.
I get it we don't want the junta to be putting feathers in its cap, but that is a seperate matter altogether.
It is hard to go against the grain and give a bitter pill to people who are pushing you to go a certain way. But that is the role of a doctor isn't it?

More so, Pakistan's ranking has actually dropped five places, and on no dimension does it rank above 86th.

And yet there is no answer to any of the allegations; in the Commonwealth Report on Elections; in the IMF report on Corruption and Governance; or on Volker Turk's recent statement on the 26th and 27th amendments destroying the independence of the judiciary.
