As of today, this is how women must dress in Afghanistan, according to the Taliban's Supreme Leader.
The following rules are now in effect: The full face must be covered—no hands, nothing visible. The black veil was presented as a "recommendation" a year ago, now it is the law.
@KatyMontgomerie As I said I see benefits it’s just corporations taking less & less liability on themselves for men’s bad behaviour.
Airlines can easily automate such system like keeping single women traveller together or keeping family together but well they rather make you pay for it.
@KatyMontgomerie My point is, this is short term solution to long term problem & till time men don’t get consequence for their actions & women aren’t expected to constantly cave. This isn’t going to change or infact might even get worse.
@KatyMontgomerie I am from India, conceptually this idea is not new for us. While it has its benefits, in our case it also ended up increasing gender divide, alienating women & reducing acountability from men.
Since childhood we had “girl” rows & “boy”rows in class..
@KatyMontgomerie we have “ladies seat” & even “ladies compartment” in transport. But if you travel in general it’s not unusual for men to say “go back to your compartment”
Providing women choice is 2 edged sword cause “not choosing women seat” becomes your mistake than creeps
@unkonfined Doing 1 small thing each day & is different from routine.
It could be making your own breakfast, wiping kitchen, shopping with a friend, 10min yoga, starting a book chapter, writing 5 min journal
Just break that pattern
Could any picture sum up our new men’s rights movement better? The smirk of a male who’s knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered. #Paris2024
@NiceTshimitYou I know lot of things come off as backhand compliment due to microaggression history around them .
I personally would love being acknowledged on something that has been societally mocked & I still went ahead & did that cause I wanted to.
It’s the tone not the content (for me)
Nothing dilutes a tragic event than comparing it with another ongoing tragedy.
New posts “all eyes..” are disgusting & by same set of people who don’t even bat an eye on obvious genocide. You didn’t care about either of people cause everything is your self serving propaganda .
Dastardly attack on innocent civilians. I'm not going to get into "all eyes on xyz" trauma competition, we can hold in our hearts all victims everywhere, irrespective of their nationality, religion, belief ...
Ask questions of the government too.
