Speaking before the UN Security Council, China’s Envoy, Fu Cong, warned that the ceasefire in Gaza has yet to take effect as children continue to be killed on a daily basis.

Demanding that "Israel" immediately halt its military operations and strictly abide by international law, the envoy further emphasized that settlement expansion in the West Bank must be stopped, reiterating that a lasting resolution cannot be achieved without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
