We are all human, it can be difficult to remain calm when it doesn't seem like in the moment help is appreciated, but is the American spirit to see the bigger picture, be the bigger person, and being compassionate.

What I can't imagine viewing as important to me, is that working with a child or family who is in the midst of pain and suffering and is advocating to guarantee an end to the pain and suffering, is whether or not in that moment they demonstrate a "thank you".

Ukraine though, is still very deep in battling for their lives. I can't even fathom this struggle personally. I say that same statement with most of the philanthropy I participate in, such as it helping children battling horrific diseases.

President Zelenskyy has the unimaginable challenge of leading the fight. He is watching his people die, including women and children, for the idea of freedom, and good triumphing over evil. I am proud America has given the assistance it has.

Their resolve in the face of significant death and destruction actually serves to show Russia that someone with far less people and assets will not just let them trample their independence. It's incredibly brave and serves not just themselves, but the entire free world.

Ukraine, who has been attacked relentlessly by an aggressive world super power hell bent on taking land by force, is the epitome of desperate.

United States assistance to Ukraine is another version of that. Americans are some of the most philanthropical people on the planet, and that's part of what makes me the most proud to be American. With any philanthropy, the goal is always to help the most desperate in need.

@RGIII I actually think Joe Douglas has done a good job of drafting talent and making the right trades. It is clear though it is absolutely an issue of culture and identity. Unfortunately you can not fire an owner, which is where the culture is formed foundationally.

@SethAbramson I can't pretend to appreciate political strategy, but is it possible Biden truly is not mentally well? Dealing with family with age related mental illness, if he is actually compromised then wouldn't this be the correct decision?
