@ChrisBarber1975 The lethal climate requires superficial niceness and rule-following. In the Klondike, if you used food or firewood from a cabin without replenishing it, they'd hang you on the spot. Evolved into a conservative-herd culture that is easily exploited by freeloaders and corruption.

@jan_murray That formula worked OK in 2004, for weekly broadcast viewing, but is notably repetitive when binged. Later seasons are more innovative.

@Aella_Girl Agreed. In just months, consumer AI went from passing the Turing test to exhibiting better knowledge, reasoning, speed, and patience than any human I know. The standard explanation falls short. We've always co-evolved with our tools, but we're in for a helluva ride.
