a great way to end the week: @misrayavuz's paper has been short-listed as an award candidate at ACCV 🤩 I thought about not boasting about it but it's a first for our group and it feels very celebratory 🥳 we even have baklava in the lab 😋
our work on open-world object detection got accepted @ACCVConf as oral!!
congratulations @misrayavuz 🥳
I’ll talk about it next week @roameccv2024 workshop 😊
We had the opportunity to present our work at #ICCV2023 today, it was a great experience! Thanks to everyone who visited our poster. For more details, you can check our project website: https://t.co/6kaqKOZ3lm

we can now talk about “RbA: Segmenting Unknown Regions Rejected by All” accepted at #ICCV2023.
we found that when we find and classify regions with Mask2Former, each object query focuses on a known class. so we can find unknowns as pixels rejected by all, hence the funny name 😃
I've been selected for the Outstanding Teaching Award for my TAship work. It is two-ways challenging to learn programming for the first time and teach programming to those. but I'm glad to know that I could help. thank you to those who voted 😇
me suggesting "x to the rescue" in the paper title, my clever students complaining "but paper a also has x and they do not come to rescue."
😂

today is the last day of my 3-week visit to Oxford. I had a great time, met and worked with @Oxford_VGG members, had the chance to listen to the big names of computer vision at AZ Festschrift. very thankful for all!
