Yesterday, almost 2 years after graduation, nearly 100 applications, 2 terms of my NQT, many breakdowns and almost quitting my dream I finally got the call that I am going to be a Year 3 teacher in September 😭😭
@primaryteachew@MissCGough Burritos! Whack the meat in the slow cooker on a Sunday, microwave rice if im in a rush, wrap it up and microwave when at work 😊
It’s been confirmed I’m heading to Year 1 next year! My fave year, but do feel like I’ve forgotten everything 😂 looking to connect with fellow year 1 teachers 🍎
Last June I was punched in the head by a year 11 in the final week of exams. Student was allowed to come back into site for leavers assembly and attend prom, as parents disagreed with any sanctions set. Behaviour is at its worst.
Feeling so guilty my class aren’t making anything for Mother’s Day this year. We have a new curriculum which is jam packed, meaning missing two lessons for both mothers and Father’s Day this year is too much 😞
@MissW__teaches My role was advertised as fixed term, but was actually a permanent role! I would just ask if there is possibility for the roles to become permanent 😌
A pay rise in line with inflation for ALL public sector workers would cost around an extra £12-15bn.
An annual 1.5% tax on any wealth above £5m would raise £16bn.
We can afford to give people a proper pay rise. The Tories' refusal to do so is a political choice.
Ordering some micro:bits for my school! What else should we order to go along with them? I’m not attending the course until after we’ve ordered please help #computing#primarycomputing
