@pisczkb @ChipShopBird The original post was most likely referencing a contestant on upcoming season 3 of @dragraceukbbc and the whole point is that they are not a cross-dresser for sex. The OP was about "not all drag queens were born with male genitalia" because drag is performance art, not a sex act
@pisczkb @ChipShopBird I'll say it again:
Drag is different from cross-dressing for sex/trans-fetishes, and is not done to please those who fetishize them.
@pisczkb @ChipShopBird We're not leaving them out, it's just not about them
Might as well say "but I have a fetish for my teacher/boss/stepmom/neighbor/(insert identity marker/porn category) therefore my desire for them is as important as the fact they are (insert identity marker/porn category again)"
@pisczkb @ChipShopBird That's not the argument being made though.
How (I) dress is not based on (your) fetish.
Drag is a form of performance art, meant to entertain an audience. The main purpose is not sexual gratification.
There are teacher/student fetishes, but it's different from being one.
@pisczkb @ChipShopBird Mmm not quite - performing gender for entertainment (drag) is definitely different from gender play for sex (trans-fetishism) is also definitely different from being a transperson.
Not everyone who engages in cross-dressing seeks sexual gratification from it.
It's the way I said I'd reclude for the month of August, and yet here I am taking on the same amount of work, doing same number of shows but in different places...
Progress I guess?🙃
