Third year placement✅ I will miss my Primary 5’s so much! So lucky to have had such a great placement, and to have learned so much. Onto my final year and final placement👩🏼‍🏫

Nearly half way through my final week with Primary 5!🥲 We have been learning how to calculate the area and perimeter of different shapes. Today we headed outside with trundle wheels, and measured the playground. Such a fun and sunny morning!☀️

After our trip to the @NatMiningMuseum P5 have made fantastic models of the mines using lots of different materials! ⛏️🤩 Great work P5👏🏼

We have a new reward system in Primary 5, House Points!🏠Today as a class we discussed and agreed ways we can earn house points, like going above and beyond expectations. At the end of every week we will count each houses points, see who has the most, and they will get a prize🏆

This week Primary 5 turned into Domino’s workers! We practised our fraction work by making our own pizzas depending on the orders we got🍕

Today in Primary 5 we made a model of the respiratory system. We have been learning the different parts and their functions🫁 Everyone’s models turned out amazing and we all had fun making them!

This week in Primary 5 we done a science experiment on motion. Each group created a parachute using a different length of bin bag. We then dropped the parachutes from a height and seen which one was the slowest to fall! 🪂 Later in the week we created a bar chart of our results📊

First lesson with Primary 5 complete✅ We looked at using speech marks in our sentences. Their main activity was ‘punctuation pasta’ 🍝 which meant using pasta in place of speech marks, they all really enjoyed this! We finished off with a sticky note exit pass! 🗒️ ✏️
