A great way to engage my Year 6 class! Making “blood” using different foods. So much fun 🩸 and everyone called explain the components and their function.
What a busy first week back! Lovely to be back in Year 6 again and such a wonderful welcome to my new school- one form entry and a village. 🌳 Very different to my previous 2 settings!
@AidanSevers I think it allows us to assess more children and hear misconceptions rather than just asking questions 1:1. We’ve been keeping a tally of who we asked questions to in our lessons and it’s so interesting to see how many are 1:1 and therefore other children in the room are passive!
From Monday 11th there will be three hours of primary school programming every weekday on CBBC, and at least two hours for secondary pupils on BBC Two.
Tried something new today - aptly named by the girl I was working with ‘Rainbow Editing’ 🙊🌈 After yday’s lesson, she clearly needed help with demarcating sentences. She read a sentence of her work, one at a time, and we highlighted it before rewriting again with punctuation ☺️
Keep seeing lots of people getting ready to use The Day The Crayons Quit this term 😍 Don’t forget to use #ChatterPix@ChatterPixIt to make your inanimate objects come to life! The children love it and they’re so much fun to make too ☺️ #WritingRocks#ReadingRocks
I think a roadblock that many struggle with is the mindset that coaching only addresses areas of perceived weakness. Coaching is also about shining light on effectiveness and why it's effective. #LeadLAP
