Kept myself busy today doing some craft. I made our student teacher a goodbye present as is her last day tomorrow. Her own set of positive pixies for when she gets her own class.
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Shirley died peacefully in her sleep at home on Friday 25th February.

Please keep fighting for Gracie. Sign and share far and wide. We need this to go national. Gracie and her family deserve and need some justice 💜🐎🧜♀️
Been quiet for a while with it being so busy but managed to get some photos of our giant Y1 map focusing on continents and was super proud of the children so wanted to share 😊 🗺. Next lesson we will be adding the oceans 🌊 #year1#year1classroom#primarygeography
We started using @Bridgeanne & @dc_litchfield wonderful picture book ‘A Shelter For Sadness’ & the children reflected on their own experiences then designed their own shelters. Next week we will be building them. Such a beautiful book, which generated poignant conversations.
I was at the lovely Chruchstanton Primary School today for a meeting and in the KS1 classroom they had the best 'tidying up' initiative I have ever seen in my 30 years of teaching . . . a jewel encrusted dust pan & brush. 😯 You didn't realise you needed one . . . until now. 😂
My calm corner is building up nicely 😊, still got a bit to go but happy so far especially with the breathing cards (can’t see them on the photos) which has helped a child in particular to self-regulate. #year1#calmcorner#calmcornermeditation#selfregulationforkids
Y6: "Miss, will you make us a Shrek beanie please?"
Mrs Dowie: "When we get out of lockdown, I’ll make the whole of Y6 a Shrek beanie!"
Government: "Children will return to school on 8th March"
Mrs Dowie: 🤦♀️
