After school today, I cut off the healthiest parts of my plant and placed the nodes in water. This plant takes root VERY quickly, so I’m excited to show the kids how a small cutting can turn into a big plant! They’ll be shocked on Monday to see how different my plant looks now!
Today, we had a practical application of the scientific method, investigating why my plant is dying. We made qualitative observations of a healthy inch plant and my inch plant, talked about possible causes for the dying leaves and lack of color, made hypotheses, and started tests
I love my class. Check out these good citizens! We noticed there were gold fish crumbs covering the floor in the hall, these two were quick to volunteer to clean it up. Great job, kids!
