Today’s focus word was variety while we were talking about the human body and food groups. So I had the idea to whip out an old school game of concentration to show the variety of one category from one of the food groups.
Miss K and I just had to pull a joke on the kids for April Fools’ Day yesterday! We pranked the students with math word problems that didn’t make any sense. We really had to sell it by making it seem like we couldn’t believe the kids didn’t know how to understand the problem.
In Skills, the students used clear sticky notes in a close reading of the text by answering text dependent questions that require students to draw on evidence from the story
