Instead of giving these sums of money to ppl to train to teach, how about give it to ppl already in classrooms for 5/10/15/20 years who are battling away with proven success to date?
When I was a kid the teachers went on strike.
I don’t remember much about those occasions.
But I do remember the time that they gave up for school football matches on a Saturday, moonlit rambles on residential, France trips to speak the lingo, evening shows and swimming galas🙏
Teachers are not afraid of failure.

•False accusations
•Not being able to support their own families
•What is happening to their own mental health
•The lack of teacher resources
•The growing apathy from students
•The growing disrespect

No teacher wants to be on strike tomorrow. We enjoy teaching. That's why we do it. But we can't go on getting progressively poorer. We can't go on letting essential support for pupils disappear. We can't go on watching colleagues leave the profession due to stress. We just can't.
What's "grossly offensive" is how the Tory Govt treats its own staff.
