Lessons I've learnt as I go through the motions of adulthood -
1. I am a beautiful mess.
2. Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent.
3. Own your truth and nobody can use it against you.
4. Your past doesn't define you.
5. Trust your gut!
6. Go where you are wanted.
Them: “How do you keep going when God feels silent?”
Me: “I stopped waiting for the feeling and started trusting the fact.” The fact is He never leaves.
Become someone who wastes nothing. A bad job gives you skills. A difficult person teaches you boundaries. A failed idea gives you better judgement. A random conversation gives you a new perspective. A painful year can completely change what you value. You don't need everything that happens to you to be good. The bad often teaches you to appreciate the good. Be
grateful for what goes right, learn from what goes wrong, and remember that one day the
experiences you struggled through will become the wisdom you live by.
Ngl your name being Njoki & then spelling it backwards to be Ikojn to be pronounced as Icon for your brand is such a barrrrr to me ! Peak creativity 🤩
in order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. you cannot grow if you keep pretending you’re innocent in the story you’ve created.
PLEASE pray about everything ! Your mood swings, your temper, your ego, your insecurities, your mindset, your self love, your emotional state, your environment, your relationships, your lack of motivation, your lack of execution, your attraction to bad people! PRAY ABOUT IT ALL !
I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.
The real reason you're tired all the time: It's not your workload. It's your open loops. The text you haven't answered. The apology you owe. The decision you're avoiding. The conversation you keep postponing. These run in the background of your mind all day, draining your battery. Close your loops. Watch your energy return. Mental clutter is more exhausting than physical work ever will be.
Major cheat code for life: Master the art of the fresh start. From a bad morning. From a bad interaction. From a missed workout. From a poor decision. The goal isn't to avoid the fall. It's to shorten the time between the fall and the reset. Fast recovery compounds.
I saw a quote that said "to procrastinate is to willingly endure the discomfort of anticipation, rather than the discomfort of action. Both are burdens, but only one leads to progress" and if that didn't light a fire in me.
You promised yourself you was going to move different this year. Don't forget that. Don't let old habits, old situations, or old patterns pull you back into the same stuff you said you was done with. Stay locked in on what you said you wanted and stand on it.
I just found another beautiful verse❤️
MALACHI 3:10 the Bible says
"I will pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." May this be your story today!
