Please take the time to read: We sadly lost my incredible uncle this year to mental health, leaving a huge hole in our hearts and lives. Whilst I still struggle to talk about our loss, or come to terms with it, my amazing cousin is paving the way and working hard to prevent (1/3)

Working closely with Sports Against Suicide, he’s ensuring the young players he works with are educated &supported with their mental health. He’s also launched a hub in my Uncle’s memory, so that those struggling (2/3)

So proud of my Year 3s today for hosting our Macmillan coffee morning. They really took ownership of the day and all got stuck in with their chosen roles… even better for an unwell me, as I genuinely could step back and enjoy! 💚☕️

My youngest was three when we came to NZ, and she doesn’t want to return to the UK. Her teacher today worked with her on a list of cool things to do in London & surrounds. Teachers are the best. Happy weekend, all.

We are currently learning about online safety in PSHE and today we discussed sharing things online. My class chose to share a photo of our dolphin & I would really appreciate as much interaction with this post as possible to show how quickly and how far online posts can spread😌

The Y4 class I have this week in NZ really enjoyed writing letters to my old class (now Y4) in England. They compared the upcoming school holidays & life on the other side of the world. So sweet seeing their excitement and reading letters from my old class 🥰

Arriving in NZ with all my books left in the UK has really made me appreciate libraries again. I spent hundreds of £ on books for my class collection & really love owning the special ones.. but wow I’d forgotten what an amazing resource a library is! 📚 🤓

So that’s my last day at my wonderful school done. So grateful to have started my teaching career at Lawn and to have spent 4 fab years there. All the families and colleagues hold a special place in my heart. Now to the next adventure and to teach on the flip side 🌏✈️🇳🇿
