Older women who are wise tend to be insistent in imparting the knowledge their experiences has granted them. But it's hard to explicitly tell a young woman that if she does not center herself selfishly and aim for the best for her sake...without also crushing her delusions.

I think about this a lot.

Yes, I will always side with daughters who have been mistreated due to a mother's internalized misogyny. But I must also hold space for mothers who have internally misogynistic daughters.

Both women are dealing with a patriarchal society.
