both sam and dean have an unaddressed and subconscious eating disorder that is linked to the food scarcity/quality of said food they experienced in their childhood but they both land of different sides of the spectrum.
dean over indulges, even if it isn’t only linked to food [ex: he also over indulges in sex, violence and alcohol]. we can reasonably assume that it is due to the traumatic experience of not knowing when the next meal would be coming as a child due to john’s neglect [ex: when dean had to steal food because they didn’t have enough money left to keep them going] or his lack of knowledge when it comes to parenting.
he eats like a starved pig and until he’s full [ex: thanksgiving at jody’s]. i also think that him gravitating towards fatty, greasy foods is in part due to this trauma, i also believe it’s to emulate his father but that’s a story for another day.
on the contrary sam under indulges [ex: he has to be reminded to eat on many occasions by dean]. we see him eat salads mostly, which is nowhere near sufficient calories wise for a man of his stature, rarely having a burger like dean would. he’s also terribly health conscious, something, i believe, he picked up at stanford. it’s a good thing but i don’t think it’s good for him, he would be anorexic if it wasn’t for the plot armour let’s be honest. i think this is also due to his upbringing and him feeling bad all the time/wanting to distance himself from his family/not knowing how to properly feed himself until his early adult years.
@7emcel I'm gonna go blonde even tho it washes me out cause I feel like having blonde hair is more about being a blonde rather than making u look better
