Those perfect picture Christmas cards are from a climate long since gone.

The winters that Charles Dickens wrote about no longer exist. The UK is 1.7°C warmer today.

We are in a new climate era, one where stability is no longer a luxury we get to enjoy but instead, one where instability will cause food scarcity and mass migration.

Instead of coming together to deal with this as humans of past eras have done multiple times, we are fighting and arguing about taxes.

All the problems in the world today will be exacerbated by a rapidly warming and changing climate.

We can act and limit further warming, prevent further deaths, prevent further damage, stop us moving further and further away from the images Charles Dickens painted with words.
