We're thrilled to celebrate seven teachers and seven @IUSchoolofEd students with this year's Jacobs Educator Award. These teachers and future teachers will work together to develop modules for K-6 online learning that will be available for all to use.

Another amazing day with the Goss Team in the books! It was so fun to see these awesome 2nd graders working together and using their problem solving skills to code their Ozobots through the main events of Robot in Love. @MrsGossEPS@IUSchoolofEd
@MissWinegar @alextvalencic Agreed! I think one of the most powerful opportunities we have now is the ability to get online and soak up knowledge and experience from people all over the place with a variety of backgrounds. It gives a whole new meaning to professional learning networks! #sunchat
@Ms_A_Yeh This sounds like a great way to support new teachers. I also love the idea of having multiple mentors for different needs. Goes back to what you said earlier about needing different types of mentors depending on the situation! #sunchat
#sunchat As a preservice teacher nearing student teaching, it can be overwhelming to think about all the new things we will be expected to know and do in such a short amount of time. I imagine a supportive and patient mentor could play a huge role in that transition.
@educlivhille I definitely agree with is! I think a huge aspect of this is also the fact that our CEL (computer ed license) program is so small that allows us to build better relationships which then makes it easier to rely on one another. #sunchat
#sunchat I have been lucky enough to have some amazing professors that are already serving as mentors to me! In a way they have taught me how to seek support and get the most from those with experience and knowledge to share.
