In 1993, Jeffrey Dahmer was 33 years old, serving 999 years inside a maximum security prison in Wisconsin. Three guards escorted him everywhere. One on each arm. Handcuffs on at all times. The most dangerous human being in America - kept alive only so he could rot in a cell.
This interview was never meant to be seen. It sat in the Inside Edition archives for 30 years.
In the video below, a monster wearing a human face sits across from journalist Nancy Glass and answers the one question nobody expected him to answer honestly.
Are the urges still there?
He paused. Then said he wished he could tell her they were gone. But no. Even locked inside concrete and steel, serving nearly a thousand years - the compulsions that turned him into a predator were still hunting inside his head.
He didn't kill out of rage. Not out of hatred. He said he killed 17 men because he wanted to keep them. That the obsession grew until skulls and skeletons weren't enough. Then came cannibalism. Spoken the same way a normal man would describe a habit he couldn't shake.
He asked for several breaks during filming.
His hands wouldn't stay still the entire time.
Fourteen months after this interview, another inmate killed him in prison. When asked what he deserved, Dahmer didn't hesitate for a second.
"I deserve death," he said.
Some people are beyond saving. Some things wear a human face and never were one.
Was there ever a version of this story that ended differently?
i joke abt koreans doing black music but no one in asia came close to japanese ppl when it comes to being black, they even had black music review magazine. japanese people had passion, koreans just followed trends.
You niggas dumb af. The only reason bro got a deal is because he sounded like Drake. ๐ Drank in my cup came out in the 4th quarter of 2011 while Drake been sounding like that since 2009.
Colonel Sanders sold KFC for 2 million dollars. Years later, a KFC franchisee sued him for libel. He had called the gravy wallpaper paste.
In the video below, the day after KFC changed hands again in 1971, a reporter asks him if he feels left out.
At 73, with nobody to take over, he sold it to a group led by John Y. Brown Jr. for 2 million dollars and a salary for life. His contract made him the company's quality controller and its trademark.
In 1971 Brown sold the company to Heublein for 285 million. Sanders stayed on the payroll.
So he did his job. He walked into the kitchens and said what he thought. The gravy was wallpaper paste. The new crispy chicken was "a damn fried doughball stuck on some chicken." The franchisee who sued him for libel lost.
When he and his wife opened their own restaurant, Heublein sued him too. He sued back for 122 million dollars, saying they were misusing his image. Heublein settled and paid him 1 million.
His face on every bucket. His words in a lawsuit.
They wanted his face on the bucket. They didn't want his opinion of what was inside it.
Was Colonel Sanders a stubborn old man who couldn't let go of his recipe, or did the people who bought it simply want his face without his voice?

There comes a point in the history of every civilization when the greatest danger facing its people is no longer the enemy they have been taught to fear, but the institutions they have been conditioned to trust.
Humanity has reached that point.
For generations, people have been encouraged to believe that the systems governing their lives, regulating their economies, administering their medicine, collecting their information, and determining the boundaries of their freedoms were fundamentally designed to protect them.
What they were never supposed to discover was that these same systems could be transformed into the infrastructure of their own destruction.
And that transformation has already taken place.
