Activity #12: Phone and check-in with my students! ๐ฅฐ๐
Continuing to make those connections is so important during these times and brings a smile to my face!
Activity #11: Pancake Math ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
See instructions in pictures below! So many options to differentiate this game for varying grades and abilities!
Activity #7: Draw a map of your room
- Explore your room, what do you see? (e.g. desk, toys, bed, lamp, etc.)
- Where are these things located?
- Get a blank piece of paper and first outline your room with a pencil
- Colour it in
- Go one step further and label each item
Activity #6: Colour Mixing Science Experiment
See pictures for materials needed and instructions! Also, here is a link to the experiment being done as a reference:

Activity #5: Winter Scavenger Hunt
- Print this one out or have your child copy the words and create their own images
- Bring a device outside so that your child can take photographs of the items that they find
- Print out the photos and create a winter scavenger hunt collage
The most effective โremoteโ teaching will spark learning, not simply cover content.
Give your students questions to pursue, not just answers to accept.
Give them something to create, not just something to complete.

Activity #4: Card Game โWarโ
-Split deck in half (1/2 for each player)
-Players lay out a card
-Whoever has the higher card gets to keep both cards
-Repeat until a player runs out of cards
This is a great activity for discussing the concept of more than or less than!
Activity #3: Homemade Playdough
(I skip the glycerine step!)
Give your child a cookie pan, cookie cutters, buttons, gems, a rolling pin, and any other materials that they can get creative with! Seal in an airtight container or ziploc so it stays fresh for future use!
