Lately my young students at work have been learning about relationships and caring for others - one way we did this was by getting the babies out and looking after them for the day - the students loved it & were beautiful towards their babies #acuedu_p #ELC

If you don’t know much about Aboriginal culture and their history to the country I highly recomend this book
It explains topics (such as agriculture, sacred places, sustainable futures etc) through an Aborignal perspective #ACUed_p

I found Health really interesting to teach on prac as it was about safety & making sure we all feel okay - the students wrote 5 people they feel they can go to when they are sad or feel unsafe - they were all highly engaged in the task & were proud of the end results! #ACUedu_p

This week at work we are exploring Naidoc week & Aboriginal culture - one way we did this was by discussing the importance of nature & the land - the students collected sand & leaves & sticks from outside then created their own nature area indoors #ACUedu_p

On Thursday I relief taught in year one - the class was very different and quieter than my foundation class! This is the PE program the teacher had in place and the students loved it! It was great to see how engaged they were in such a simple task #ACUedu_p

Today we tried out a new fast finisher - my teacher brought number blocks & we got them out for the students to freely investigate! It was great to see all the different ways they created out of the blocks - this is just one example! #acuedu_p

Today in class we were sorting each other into groups - some of their answers were hilarious (one student sorted everyone into people who were in love & people who were sad😂) - can you guess their answers? #ACUedu_p

Yesterday we started exploring sorting within my maths GTPA unit - the students made posters and sorted a range of different animals. These kids constantly amaze me with their brilliant ideas! #foundation #ACUedu_p
