Reception are learning all about Jack and the bean stalk this week😃 this morning they have built a beanstalk and castle 🏰🎋

Reception had another visitor today… and they left huge footprints!
The children guess that a Giant had visited our classroom last night and we used adjectives to describe the size of his feet. The giant even left us some beans and pots to plant our own beanstalks!

Reception class had a visitor over the weekend! We walked in this morning to a crime scene 😱 someone had broken our chair and spilt some porridge on our carpet! I wonder who it was... 👩🏼‍🦱🐻🐻🐻

Reception had so much fun having a space picnic trying space foods! We tried dried fruits and had to stick our foods to the wall so they didn't float away! Very impressed with our little astronauts 🚀

We have been making the moon using ’moon sand’! We used our fingers to make craters in the moons surface! 🌙🌚

Reception have been coming up with a plan how to save a fallen star from the tree! We’ve had some great ideas from Bryn Hafods brilliant thinkers! 💫💡

Reception Coch were lucky to have a visit from someone very special yesterday… the Olympic and Commonwealth Athlete @megjonesltd 🏆🏉Meg taught us the basics of how to play rugby and we learnt that it’s a game for both girls and boys!🙋‍♀️🙋

Reception loved their visit from the ice cream van yesterday!
We have been learning about ice creams at the seaside and we even had our own ice cream roleplay! It was fab to visit a real one for our fabulous finish! 😁🍨🍦🍧

Reception have also looked at real fish during our ‘under the sea‘ topic! We learnt the names of lots different fish and the parts of their body. 🐠🦞🐟
