As the year draws to a close, I'm sharing my Y6 reading folder (though there are some random bits in like some Y2 lessons) for free, which is full of Y6 whole class reading lessons.

@NicholasWaite17 hi Nicholas! I saw that you teach The Other Side Of Truth. Do you think there’s any chance I could take a look at your SOW? We are currently teaching it without a developed SOW! Thank you 🙏🏻
@kerri_steedman hi! Sorry to be so cheeky but I saw you teach The Other Side Of Truth, and I would be so grateful if you wouldn’t mind sharing your resources? I’m using a SOW that is very old and would really appreciate having a look at a more developed one! Thank you 🙏🏻
@kerri_steedman@miss_birtles @FunkyPedagogy @Team_English1@shadylady222 Hi sorry to jump on a very old thread, but would you mind sharing your The Other Side Of Truth resources with me? We are just starting it in year 7!

I'm constantly playing around with sentence level work for the first five minutes of my writing lessons, usually while I go and give some feedback to individual children. I think this is what I'll go for in the first few weeks and see how much we can get out of it.
Here is the Y7 Reading Development/AR booklet I've designed--a big piece of work with our approaches to reading; interactive sections; 18 extracts to be used as starters & for discussion (ChatGPT t/f +recommendations). In word/pdf:
