Ambitious Christians seeking kingdom impact get caught in two distinct traps.
One is capitalism - money, markets, profit, and influence will impact the world at scale and validate my efforts. But we don't see the idol of mammon and the bad fruit (alienation, etc) from innovation and growth at all costs. It's utopian in its accelerationism.
Two is secular justice - using the tools of power to rectify inequalities in power. But we don't see the mimetic cycles, and don't have a truly transformative vision for the poor as people, and dehumanize those we seek to help. It's utopian in its revolutionary spirit.
Kingdom impact requires submission to the King. It requires connection to the body, a "dying to self," and deep patience and proximity motivated by hope and love.
It withstands hype cycles and revolutionary fervor (because the kingdom is "not yet") but gives of itself creatively now (because the kingdom is "already").
We need to recover a truly Kingdom vision.
If only there was a platform out there that was focused on identifying these opportunities and working to incubate, launch, and accelerate new high-impact missional ventures.

Been thinking for a while about writing a series of explainers on all things Web3 and Crypto for pastors and ministry leaders.
There are so many implications for leadership, community, formation, networks, etc. Here's a stab at Part 1:

Had such a great time talking with @tylerprieb from Missional Labs for the podcast yesterday. Missional Labs is a venture lab for the church. We chatted about:
- Missional Leverage
- Design Thinking
- Living a missional life.
Got to work with 100 pastors from around Latin America on "redesigning evangelism for a digital age."
Disruption has been globalized, and we need adaptive, theologically-anchored frameworks for building missional movements.
Thanks @RedeemerCTC for bringing us in.
In case you missed it, we're releasing the Missional Life Course tomorrow:

Here's some of the thinking that went into creating it (thread):
First "office hours" style learning community today with @missionallabs. Connecting emerging missional leaders around the world and across disciplines. Super rich conversation on the future of mission. (Another one next month).
One thing we've been working on @missionallabs is a small network of creatives, designers, and builders, available to help ministries with meaningful digital transformation.
If that's you or anyone you know, send them our way!
