As we have our first snow fall in the philly area, I am reminded of the kids who instead of sledding in snow go sledging in sand.
Missionary dioceses are present all over the world. Today, pray for missionaries and people who live in the snow and cold climates.
Missionary priests continue following his example by coming to our country and serve at our parishes. Take a moment to pray for Missionaries today and consider supporting the work of Missionaries around the world through The Pontifical Mission Societies.
Today we celebrate the Feast of St. John Neumann. St. John Neumann is a wonderful reminder of the role Missionaries have played in the history of the Church in America. He came over to America to serve the young church here.

We have had a busy few days! On Friday we had our Little Way Dress Down and Giving Day in honor of St. Therese. Then on Saturday we participated in the Eucharist Congress and spoke at the children's track where we gave out our NEW Eucharistic Passports.
Collectively, these small sacrifices have a great impact and helps kids through MCA . Will you join the students around the Archdiocese and do something small in honor of St. Therese and to help missionaries around the world?
On October 1st, the Church celebrates the feast of Saint Therese of Lisieux, Patroness of the Missions. Saint Therese was a Carmelite nun that lived from 1873-1897 in France. She is known as the little flower and popularized her spirituality known as the Little Way.
In honor of Saint Therese, we invited all the Archdiocesan elementary schools to participate in a Dress Down and Giving Day. Recognizing the impact of small actions, the day is focused on encouraging students to make a small sacrifice of $1 to $2.
He shared stories of how missionaries share the peace of Christ and challenged the students to do the same. They ended their afternoon with a prayer service for world peace.
Last Thursday our MCA Manager spent the afternoon with the students of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School (Doylestown). He gave a presentation for International Peace day and spoke about the difference between inner peace and external peace.
We are called to share the faith in our families, parishes, communities as well as remember that the Church is universal.
How are you living out your call to be a Missionary Disciple locally and globally?
Today, Archdiocesan staff are attending sessions on Missionary Discipleship hosted by the Office of the New Evangelization. Our call to be Missionary Disciples have a local and global dimension to it.
