2025.12.19 Seonghwa’s thoughts/reflections on being appointed Jinju City Promotional Ambassador

🐰 I wrote this greeting with a fluttering heart, a bit of nervous excitement, and deep gratitude. I ask for your support, and now I’ll go ahead and read it:

“Hello, this is Seonghwa of ATEEZ.

I am truly honored to take on the precious role of promotional ambassador for Jinju, the beautiful city where I spent my childhood. This is a moment I have long hoped and wished for. I know very well how meaningful it is to serve as an ambassador representing my hometown. To me, Jinju is not just a city - it is a place that holds the stories of my childhood and countless precious memories.

The cherry blossom road of Bibongsan that bloomed in full as if celebrating my birthday;
the Jinju Youth Training Center that recognized and supported my dreams and passion, which burned as fiercely as the summer heat;
the autumn festival that allowed me to create memories with someone I love among countless lanterns;
the shimmering light on the Nam River in winter that seemed to wash away my tears during my wandering years;
and the warmth of the many people I met in Jinju who always embraced me gently - these are moments I still cannot forget. Every time I return, Jinju feels exactly the same, welcoming me warmly as it always has. There has always been a comforting, hard-to-describe warmth here - the familiar scent of Jinju that greets you as if to say it’s always okay to come back, and the feeling of being embraced just as you are, even with the wounds of childhood.

Now, that warmth has grown into an even greater strength, joined with the hearts of so many people who support me. Jinju is a city alive with culture, tradition, and the warmth of its people. As time passes, I realize more and more just how special and remarkable the charms and pride of this city are - things I couldn’t fully understand when I was younger.

As a promotional ambassador, I will do my best to share with more people the warmth and beauty of my hometown that I have seen and felt. I will work together to help Jinju’s culture, nature, history, and the warmth of its people become more widely known.

I would like to sincerely thank the mayor who prepared today’s event, all the officials involved, and the citizens of Jinju who welcomed me so warmly. And lastly, my heartfelt thanks go to our fans, ATINY, who have shared and spread the beauty of Jinju around the world just as much as I have, making it possible for me to stand here today as a Jinju promotional ambassador.

I sincerely hope that the beautiful city of Jinju will continue to be loved by many and shine even brighter in the future.
