And a big thank you to Ruth and her team at @WaterstoneStAlb - it was a late one because the signing queue was so long! (am also an ex-W bookseller so big love to their commitment and support!)
Last night's event for @ItsEmilyKaty at @WaterstoneStAlb St Albans was so special. @SarahMarieOB did an incredible job and seeing the impact these two brilliant women had on the autistic girls in the audience was a real privilege.
As an ex-Blackwell's bookseller, it never fails to amaze me how booksellers are the best people ever.
The booksellers at Waterstones last night were so welcoming, so generous with their time, so accommodating and gifted us flowers 😭
I’d also recommend @CathyWassell’s own book which has become an absolute bible, especially for parents of newly diagnosed children https://t.co/W96u9OgnRO
I met @ItsEmilyKaty through the legend that is @CathyWassell - CEO & founder of the charity that Emily is a trustee of - @AutisticGirls_ If Emily’s story touches your life, I’d recommend connecting with the network as they have a lot of resources and a great community
I never would have believed you if 6.5 years ago you’d told me whilst sectioned on a CAMHS ward that not only would I be here living life, happy & thriving, but that my book sharing my journey would be a Sunday Times Bestseller. But here I am. Thank you so much. 💖

There are no words to describe what an absolute privilege this is and how grateful I am. Thank YOU. #GirlUnmasked
So thrilled for @itsemilykaty who has hit the @thetimes Top Ten bestsellers list in her second week of pub. GIRL UNMASKED is a brave and powerful book and a must read for anyone with autism in their lives. Huge congratulations, Emily!! #monoray
GIRL UNMASKED: HOW UNCOVERING MY AUTISM SAVED MY LIFE. Out now. Amazon, Waterstones, Blackwells etc.
I am so proud of what this book became. Thank you @Octopus_Books & @missjkill for believing my story was worth telling. ✨
Easter Monday tasks after appearing in the media for a tiny charity - 100s of joining requests for our Facebook group but also many more emails than we can possibly answer, all from families in various stages of desperation who absolutely deserve an answer.
A good way to kickstart World Autism Acceptance Month?
Grab a book from one of your fave autistic authors. Girl Unmasked is phenomenal, as is Emily herself, and it is now available everywhere you can buy a book!
