@KateRaworth On Friday we launched the Staffordshire & Stoke-On-Trent COP2024 - Celebration Of The Possible, a 10 year project underpinned by Doughnut Economics 🍩 Attended by over 150 people all working on inspirational projects, the event gained a further 50 pledges for collective action.

Something we hear all the time BUT if you consider all of our historic emissions the UK is in the top 8 countries responsible for #climatechange

We've just had some very friendly and well behaved visitors 🐕🐾

Meet Pedro and Lunar, they just popped into the recycling station while their owner did some shopping today.

It was a tough job 🤣🙈 but we kept them entertained with lots of fuss and attention #BestJob

p.s. thankfully as I run an eco centre we will be able to craft with the bags to make lampshades and coasters so not all is lost.

BUT manufacturing these bags and then recycling them still takes up huge amount of resources which have been wasted. Now, I don't live a perfect zero waste free life but I am trying my best, so @morrisons you can do better too!

I wasn't given the option to order without them (so wasn't expecting any to turn up) and a lot of them only had one or two items in. I was told that the bags were made from recycle materials and would be recycled again (they will take them back next shop and pay 5p each)

By 2050 there is going to be more plastic in the sea than there is fish, I didn't realise that sentiment was also going to apply to my kitchen!

Just had my shopping delivered from @morrisons in 14 plastic bags when none were really needed!!
