Just had news today of our increased insurance for our block.
2020 = £34,445
2021 = £279,091.27
How is this even allowed?! Insurance companies profiting out of the total misery we are dealing with. The building has not changed!! 🤬#EndOurCladdingScandal@ukcag@team_greenhalgh
🔴 Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the fire in Dagenham this morning.
The number one priority is that all affected residents are safe and well and get the support and answers they need.
Action to make our homes safe remains urgent - and the pace must accelerate.
🚨DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS FROM @Ryanair - gift card purchased for £75, website not accepting code, fobbed off by customer services after at least 6 complaints. They have essentially stolen £75… other posts suggest I’m not the only one! Where is the customer service?!
@Damikpe@askryanair I’m having the same issues. Voucher is valid, still not working on the website and escalated twice with Ryanair. My expiry date is also approaching. Did they resolve your issue?
🧵@MetTVH I've just taken a distressing call from one of North Court residents completely distraught at their situation, trapped not only by the negative equity on the flat and not being able to sell but can't buy anything else either - in their 30's and thinking about suicide
@Joyce_Karam@RexChapman "War is a place where young people who don't know each other, and don't hate each other, kill each other, by the decision of old people who know each other, and hate each other, but don't kill each other..."
This is not just about the Conservative party losing confidence in the Prime Minister. It’s about the whole country having lost all confidence in the conservative party. Truss had no mandate from the country & neither will next PM (the 3rd in four months!). Democracy demands a GE
After the damage that Johnson and Truss have inflicted on our country, the very last thing we need is *yet* another Conservative PM. We need a #GeneralElectionNow and a change of government.
❌ Developer contracts remain unsigned, many developers yet to even "pledge" to remediate and some no longer operating.
❌ Lenders not lending. Costs spiralling.
How long must we wait to #EndOurCladdingScandal?

Hundreds of thousands of leaseholders remain trapped in flats they cannot sell or re-mortgage. @UKFTweets not cooperating, developers not remediating and @TheFCA insurance report late.

@SimonClarkeMP please finally #EndOurCladdingScandal 🙏
Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi has said the public should cut back on their energy use.
Remember this is the same Nadhim Zahawi who claimed £6,000 a year from the taxpayer to pay for the electricity to run the stables at his £1 million 2nd home, the highest energy claim in Parliament.
The Secretary of State said that leaseholders are blameless. So how is it fair that so many leaseholders, including in my constituency of #Battersea, face costs of up to £15,000 for non-cladding repairs, for problems they didn’t cause?
