Students have been meeting in book club groups to discuss nonfiction topics. They meet each week to discuss the concepts read and foster discussions on their topics. Topics include: environmental issues, the American revolution and more! @MOSandshore @kristymc24 @Jen1Curry

Immersing ourselves in different styles of biographies! Groups met to read sections of “Talkin’ Bout Bessie” by Nicki Grimes and create a list of what they learned about Bessie Coleman to share. @MOSandshore @kristymc24 @Jen1Curry

As a culminating project for our Fiction Book Clubs, students worked on “One Pagers” to share what they learned. Amazing job by all! @MOSandshore @Jen1Curry @kristymc24

Fifth Grade Floats! This year we worked on floats based on our learning about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Students created floats, wrote and recorded newscasts about their floats and priced out the materials to build. 🦃🍁 @MOSandshore @kristymc24 @Jen1Curry
