Crazy to think I’m writing this but today is my last day as a SEN TA at my current school. It is bittersweet but I cannot wait for my new opportunity as a SEN support worker in a school from Monday. I will miss the children I work with so much, but here’s to a new opportunity! 🥂

So as of yesterday I officially handed in my last piece of work and finished university. It’s been a crazy three years and a pretty unconventional ending but I am so proud of myself for doing it! Congrats to everyone finishing over the next couple of weeks! 🎉🍾🥂

I visited a medium secure unit yesterday and asked the psychologist there if he does therapy. He showed me this framework by @KimSGolding. I thought it was such a good way of showing the different intervention needs that come before therapy that I decided to draw it...

@MissEPrimary It’s definitely something that isn’t talked about enough! There is such a taboo around it at times! I’m in the same boat regarding new diagnosis but just remember that your needs and your feelings are the same with and without the diagnosis there! Drop me a message if you want!☺️

I just learned that the Māori word for autism is takiwatanga, ‘in his/her own time and space’. It’s such an empathic and gentle way to describe the condition I’m trying to come to terms with.
