Horror Movie Day 1: Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory (1961)
Not good, but tbh the first attack scene was cool.
One of the main actors was a Holocaust survivor who was also in Babylon 5 & Knight Rider. Also, the actors all spoke different languages, causing confusion on set.
pure bait but I'm curious
what's a piece of art [interpret at will] that has retained an essential mystery no matter how many times you've revisited it?
New to giallo/Italian horror & my fave so far is Absurd, which is supposed to be set in the US (but filmed in Rome, mostly in a house used for xxx shoots). In order to make it seem super American, an important part of the plot is that everyone's distracted by the 1980 Super Bowl.
A textless version of my cover illustration for the second issue of @giantrobotfm's Giant Robot Fan Magazine, covering Macross Plus!
This one was a lot of fun to make, and it remains an honor to be among the wonderful creatives contributing to GRFM's zine projects!
@warpvector I get that! Doki Doki just made me want to explore more unusual (but not necessarily subversive) dating sims. Deconstruction doesn't mean that the base genre sucks!
As someone who recently rewatched Madoka while simultaneously watching Tropical Rouge PreCure for the first time, I found it so fun to actively compare and correlate!
I don't get how people will experience these and instead of it enticing them to try more of their respective genres they instead stick to some corny reddit rant about how it's "the only good one" bc it's """subversive""" and a """deconstruction"""
Also, weirdly much like G Gundam, Tropical Rouge has been a balm during a hard time in my life! The show's theme of motivation has been very inspiring!
