This morning Iβm thinking of the grieving families of Bebe, Elsie & Alice. We will not let acts of hatred tarnish their memory.
The mob in Southport may have gone home, but the threat of the far right remains.
This is a wake-up call for those who have emboldened them by parroting their rhetoric and pandering to their ideas.
The only antidote to hatred is hope. The vast majority of people in Southport, and across the country, respond to horror the only way they know how: with compassion, unity and solidarity.
They should inspire us that, if we come together, we can bring about a kinder and safer society for all.
Southport was all about love at the moving vigil held tonight. The Town Hall Gardens are full of beautiful, heartfelt flowers, teddies, cards, balloons. So much love in one place with thousands who came to pay their tributes

Utterly appalled at the tragedy in the place I call home π I have been lucky enough to work with the very brave Leanne in the past and pray she pulls through. She is a gorgeous soul and has made her lifeβs work children. My thoughts go out to the families of all victims and 1/2

Some lovely group work completed towards the start of last week! Our LO was to use ambitious vocabulary to describe different seaside items ahead of writing our own poems about the seaside! I have been poorly so will have to see the outcomes of these poems after half term! ππ¦πͺ£
We used our developing mosaic skills from our current topic in art and each created our own zellige tile to create a class masterpiece! Diversity day was so wonderful and it was lovely to see the children engage in another beautiful culture. #WorldDiversityDay
On Tuesday we celebrated #WorldDiversityDay and our country to celebrate was the beautiful country of Morocco! I made a beef tagine with couscous served with fresh mint tea and in the afternoon we looked at the origins of Moroccan tiles before making our own π²π¦π΅β€οΈπ
Same task, same outcome, same knowledge - different adaptions and scaffolds to enable that to happen. Followed by quality modelling, we reduced cognitive overload by: printing sentence stems out for some, sticking the sentences in for others, providing key vocabulary for all.
