@teachsci8 A4: We can encourage students to publish and produce technology by having them create things for the classroom. Students can make websites, games, videos, etc. related to the class, getting them involved without it necessarily being about learning.

It makes becoming a teacher much less scary because there is an online community of people ready to help with any issues new teachers may go through.

The inability to meet with people was not something I had taken into consideration in regards to tech helping collaboration. This would be especially helpful in rural areas where most families do not live close to school.

Everyone's opinions are able to be heard, reducing the chance of one person controlling the conversation.

I want to teach HS health, and I have wanted to include that in my curriculum. I hadn't thought about bringing tech into that, but now I will have to explore that option!

@tom_karnes My favorite project in school was creating a PowerPoint about comprehensive sex ed. I am comfortable with PowerPoint, so I think that my presentation was strong, but using some other technology from this class could have improved it

I like that you point out how FlipGrid allows different communication for students. I think it gives shy students (like myself) the chance to communicate with less fear/pressure.

I just played Kahoot for the first time a couple of weeks ago in a different class. I LOVED IT. It was so engaging for students of any age, which can be hard to find. Can't wait to use it in my own classroom.

I love how easy it is to make a newsletter and that there is so much available even without a premium account. I'm already using it for my mom's classroom and can't wait to use it in my own!
